I run inclusive community workshops and activities: having a safe space to be creative is a suprisingly rare opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds, and can break down barriers very quickly. It is revitalising, therapeutic and people’s confidence is built by being gently guided by an experienced artist: it can often lead to sharing experiences both good and bad. Sustainability is at the heart of my practice, with most if not all materials used being reclaimed, recycled or natural. Covid-19 Lockdown timecapsule workshops on behalf of Cambridge Voluntary Service (across 2022), multiple different workshops targeting a wide range of participants from across Cambridge, including Arbury and Cambridge Central library. Women’s Wellness days at Cambridge Central Mosque and further other venues (08.10.23 – 12.07.24) – inspired by natural forms and colours, very well attended; participants ranged greatly in age and made cut-out arrangements and paintings. Sustainability multigenerational workshops making beautiful gifts from reclaimed materials for participants to give at Christmas (November 2022, 23, 24). Outdoor wildlife workshops for children including participating in ‘worm watch’ on ITV.
